Child Marriage in India: Teenage Girls Forced to Marry
Some girls are not even teens ...THEY ARE KIDS
Yeah I heard about a girl who got married at 9 :(
Cows in India are more privileged/safer than girls and women, it seems
How can these mothers, who went through the same traumatic experience allow this especially WANT this for their daughters ??? Doesnt make ANY sense.
tradition, my man
Abuse is a sick cycle
It's a tradition if you not married in that age they would find problem in finding guy for her.this is how they basically think. They think they can live happily with a man at young age which is not true at all
The problem is the stupid parents. They should be put to jail.
Do the parents not realize that doing this only adds to the poverty of their society?
14 year old girl gets married and has 2-4 babies and their husbands leave them and they are stuck to fend for themselves.
This is part of the reason why they are in poverty is because they are already poor and then making more and more babies in a poor environment.
They are just continuing the cycle of poverty, sadness, unhappy and unhealthy marriages and too many children.
If they let their daughters go to school and get degrees this helps break the cycle and they can make money on their own.
The more they are in school, the less babies they make, the smarter they become, the more chance they have at a good job and eventually having a happy marriage.
How are these parents okay with making their 15 year old daughters marry 25 + year old men. If your so worried about not being able to afford their expenses, than at least give them the option to continue their education until possible and help with the money. Marring off her to a family that’s only going to treat her like a peasant is NOT A FREAKING SOLUTION.
In indian society the hierarchy is
I'm not a brahmin, but i can very surely say it's not the case
Im 29 and still single enjoying life.. i cant imagine these kids.. getting married at the early age because they got no choice i hope their parents will wake up and let their kids to enjoy life.
Imagine being only a failed exam away from a forced marriage. That's scary as hell
Omg, imagine having to marry the neighborhood boy just because he had a crush on you (but you didn’t like him).
And the poverty starts here

At 15, I was lazy af, watching anime and studying for my exams in a private school. I suddenly felt so lucky and should be cherishing my life. My childhood was saved and I'm living a normal life. I hope these kids find their salvation and solace in this world.
Parents kill their daughter dreams....
Lucky that they have a principal with a good heart concern with the childrens
