I boycott China - to me it is the only civilized thing to do. But many products are only available produced in China.
E.g. a couple of years ago when I was running out of good electric bulbs I searched for some not produced in China, as I didn't find any I extended my search, as I still only found Chinese bulbs I bought some.

It's called hypocrisy, for decades, western companies have been using their established brand, export manufacturing to China where they manufactured for cheap and then slap on their brand name and give a massive brand fee so in the end, Chinese manufacturers make like 3 to 5% profit while the western brand walks away with like 30%+ in profit, but now they realize that slap on their brand and logos on everything doesn't work when their products are rather crappy

I‘m in Australia. If the products I design are 100% locally produced, no one will buy them at all! The main reason for local production to raise prices is labour costs and taxes. We do not produce manufacturing machinery and raw materials here, and all of them need to rely on imports from Asia

That's not the problem, the problem is the trade imbalance. China has got more leverage over you (and pretty much the rest of the world) while leaving your own economy to shrink.

Thats right! How dear the develop world try to move up the value chain, high tech industries are a western privilige, how else can the west afford their expensive life styles if they can't sell their high tech products at enormous profits and have to compete? The develop world should just export their natural resources and cheap labour at a value set by the western financial markets, or better still sell their rights to western companies for printed dollars like they have done for the last few hundred years. If you don't follow the script the west will call you an , threat to peace, genocide etc, sanctions you and incite a revolution in your country and replace your government with a western friendly one that will sellout to the west, or just invade you. It's the rule based order, the open markets is only for the west man. Why don't the poor people of the world know their place.

This only problem is, China started to selling advance goods like cars and tech products. If China knew its place and only sold cheap good, European would be happy. After all, there was no mention of over-production when Chinese roads were filled with Europeans cars. China and rest of the develo country needs to know their role is only to produce labor intensive, low end, low margin goods for west to enjoy.

That is for China to figure out. They have to either import more from the rest of the world, or export less. What they are doing now is destroying world trade.
