China’s vehicle exports experienced a massive surge in May, climbing 68.7% year-on-year to reach approxmately 930,000 units, a staggering 1,100% increase compared to May 2019 levels. Driving this growth was the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector, which skyrocketed 112.6% annually to 424,000 units, accounting for nearly half of the total export volume.
5月中国汽车出口量大幅激增,同比大涨68.7%,总量约93万辆;对比2019年5月,涨幅更是高达11倍。
新能源汽车是拉动增长的核心动力,当月出口42.4万辆,同比暴涨112.6%,出口规模接近汽车总出口量的一半。

Indian sold 4.55 million cars in India last year. And in my country Bangladesh we only 10.5K cars were sold last year. Bangladesh is 8x smaller than india in terms of population size, so we are supposed to buy around 570K cars but no because of the crazy high price we cant even buy a 20 year car in its original price, Pakistan, India, Vietnam all other counties with similar economies ar buying more cars and we are getting brainwashed by thinking a car is a luxury. The tax here goes upto 845.8%. The car doesn't even have to be a luxury one, a 4L + engine would do the job.

Regarding "overcapacity", I think the US has overcapacity in AI Center and Data Center (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle...). Both the US and EU have overcapacity in consumer airplanes (Boeing and Airbus). They should have had enough "supplies" for their OWN population. NO MORE

Since the 80s Japanese cars and later Korean cars have been dominating the global markets including the in US, yet no media pumped out scare mongering narratives, but as soon as China does the same panic buttons from all media type buzz 24/7 in uniform fashion. The China boogie man narrative is uniformly adopted across every global and alternative media, they sing like choirs of the same songs.
More puzzlingly even the consumers, who definitely could benefit from these best value for money Chinese products, chime in and join the outrage against their own interests. As for saving local jobs, governments in EU and the US stop China from building factories in their locales.
So obviously, stop Chinese products is not about serving the average consumers nor saving jobs, but to preserve vested interests.
