America refuses support to India in case of war against Pakistan: Report

报告：如果印巴开战，美国拒绝支持印度

Friends, a new report has come out. It states that if India has a confrontation with Pakistan, the US has told India that it will not support India against Pakistan. Additionally, the report also says the US has made clear it will not diplomatically isolate Pakistan if an Indo‑Pak crisis occurs.

I did not find this surprising at all. But this report makes one thing crystal clear: if there is any most unpredictable partner right now—not just for India, but for the entire world—it is America under Mr. Donald Trump, the old man.

Friends, now that this report is out, many things need to be discussed again. Because Pakistan has been escalating tensions with India for quite some time. And today, Pakistan is set to play the role of a mediator between the US and Iran. So will Pakistan really use this opportunity to stoke tensions against India once more? This is a critical question I will address in today’s session. Along with that, I will also outline five immediate steps India should take if it ever has to confront this failed country in the future.

有一份新报告出炉了。报告称，如果印度与巴基斯坦发生冲突，美国已明确告知印度，不会站在印度这边对抗巴基斯坦。此外，报告还指出，美国明确表示，即便印巴爆发危机，也不会在外交上孤立巴基斯坦。

我对此一点都不意外。但这份报告让一件事变得无比清晰：当下，不仅对印度，对全世界而言，最不可预测的伙伴，就是特朗普老爷子治下的美国。

朋友们，这份报告发布后，很多事都值得重新讨论。因为巴基斯坦近期一直在不断升级与印度的紧张关系。而如今，巴基斯坦还将扮演美伊调解人的角色。印度未来若要对抗这个失败国家，应立即采取五项措施。

So friends, what should India do? In my view, there are several solutions. What are your thoughts? Let me know.

First and foremost, we must not compromise our friendship with Russia under any circumstances. No matter what happens.

Second, we must find a way to bring China to our side. We recently relaxed investment rules with China and lifted some bans. Now we must make it clear to China: “Brother, you have your own problems—the Taiwan crisis, a struggling economy. If you work with me, I will support you financially and will not side with America against you. But on one condition: you must not support Pakistan in any way that crosses India’s red lines.”

Today, India has strong leverage with China. China faces major economic challenges; it experienced deflation last year. And tensions between China and the US over Taiwan will only grow in the future—and China knows this.

Third, we should strengthen our ties with middle‑power countries. The great powers have grown weak. So we must further deepen relations with countries like France, Japan, and Australia.

Fourth, we must strengthen our grip on the Indian subcontinent. Today, every country in the region has seen a regime change: new leaders in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives—every nation has new leadership. Can India take a clear stance with these new leaders? Can we revive SAARC without Pakistan—SAARC minus Pakistan? Should we bring back this bloc?

Right now, the Middle East is in turmoil, but India remains largely unaffected. Nepal and Bangladesh face their own challenges. Can we convene a SAARC meeting that excludes Pakistan to address regional issues? This would create a united front against Pakistan in the subcontinent.

Fifth, we must increase our presence in Afghanistan and Balochistan more aggressively. We must build up our drone warfare capabilities on a war footing. And we must completely cut off every drop of water flowing into Pakistan—until these people stop supporting terrorism against India.

印度该怎么做？有几项对策。

第一，无论发生什么，我们绝不能牺牲与俄罗斯的友谊。

第二，我们必须设法争取中国站到我们这边。我们近期放宽了对华投资限制，取消了部分禁令。现在要明确告诉中国：“兄弟，你也有自己的难题——台湾问题、经济困境。如果你跟我合作，我会在经济上支持你，不会跟美国一起对付你。但有一个条件：你绝不能以任何方式支持巴基斯坦，触碰印度的红线。”

如今印度对中国有不小的筹码。中国面临重大经济挑战，去年还出现了通货紧缩。而且未来中美在台湾问题上的紧张关系只会加剧——中国对此心知肚明。

第三，我们应加强与中等强国的关系。大国实力已有所削弱。所以我们要进一步深化与法国、日本、澳大利亚等国的关系。

第四，我们必须牢牢掌控南亚次大陆。如今该地区各国都经历了政权更迭：孟加拉国、尼泊尔、斯里兰卡、马尔代夫，全都换了新领导人。印度能否与这些新领导人明确立场？我们能否重启不含巴基斯坦的南盟（SAARC）——“南盟减巴”机制？是否该重启这一组织？

当下中东局势动荡，但印度基本未受波及。尼泊尔、孟加拉国各自面临困境。我们能否召开排除巴基斯坦的南盟会议，解决地区问题？这能在南亚次大陆形成对抗巴基斯坦的统一战线。

第五，我们必须更积极地扩大在阿富汗和俾路支省的存在。要以战时状态加速发展无人机作战能力。而且，必须彻底切断流向巴基斯坦的每一滴水——直到他们停止支持针对印度的恐怖主义。
