Every country who cares for their own economy will and should do what’s practical for security. Business is business. Look at how Philippines always follow US orders and now already has depleted oil reserves.

Iran war has coat major military credibility for China. Iran importedd their "iron dome" from China all of which spectacularly failed aganst US and isreal. Every military around the world who had orders in the pipeline knows china tech is trash. Basically, lack of wars meant china could fool nations with their ingoistic military claims but once irab war broke out, it exposed them throughly.
