India has added 36 Aircraft (Rafale) in last 25 years, (don't count Tejas MK1A) the development is now we have 2.5 enemy sides open to India, rember India did not have funds to buy aircraft in 2010, we still have to travel a long distance, this is a necessity now.

100 Rafel fighters were ordered to buy by the UPA at the time of Dr Manmohan Singh but was not of the same capability of the ones we have right now. But the calculations were same as we need 114 and orders on the way. Good for India.

This is purchase comes as no surprise. India already had plans to aquire those 114 Rafales all the way back since the first 36 to replace it's Mirages and Jaguars. It will give a massive boost India's air power and capabilities and it doesn't mean that India can't get the Su-57, that deal can still happen...or it will.

这次采购一点不意外。从买第一批36架阵风时，印度就计划再买114架，替换幻影和美洲虎。这会大幅提升印度空军实力，也不耽误买苏-57，那笔单照样能成。
