Fabulous reception. PM Mark Carney has the perfect etiquette for each person he greets. That is a very large, gorgeous bouquet he is presented with, and his graceful nod to the young girl, and the smiles all around show he is appreciated for his knowledge of proper etiquette. He is respected and respectful wherever he goes. We will be glad to do more business with China, and less with the US.

@Ssp-sv7dp what? In 1988? It was Mulroney who sold Canada out locking Canada into having to give the US a guaranteed percentage of our resources. The liberal Turner strongly fought against it and he was right.Mexco was smart enough to negotiate out of those kind of commitments but Mulroney was not. It has taken us 37 years to start to break away. It’s the reason pipelines going to East and West were never built and now conservatives blame liberals for that. Ridiculous.

If anyone cares to recall we used to have a very important trading partner in China. It was only when we detained Meng of Huawei at the behest of the US and Trump in his first term that things went for shyte. Meng was under house arrest in Vancouver for 2 years and nothing happened to her in the end. Canada got sucked in by the US and stupid bogus Trumped up charges...it cost Canada billions and the US just laughed at us and we made an enemy out of China. I would trust China before the US anyday...looks what happening now...look how the US repaid us for losing billions...now the madhatter wants Canada
