I'll be graduating (hopefully) in 12 days with a PhD from a Chinese university... and amazingly China will offer me the brand new K-visa because my research is in a STEM field. It means i don't actually need a job to stay in China, i can just stay here until i find one, giving me more time to find one!!

Compare to the US which is the TOTAL opposite, they are charging a $1000 'parole fee' at entry... and of course the $100k annual H1B fee.

Just shows the direction these two countries are going in, one is open to top talent, one is pushing them away. I imagine many talents in the US might now come to China, many many opportunities opening up here..
