The European economy needs to pick up the pace of reform and become more competitive to boost economic growth, European Union Economy Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis says in an interview.

The EU GDP in 2024 was 19 trillion. China's was 18 trillion. The US in Trump's first year is projected to be 15 trillion. Per capita, the EU GDP is 4 times the size of China. The EU's GDP is beyond competitive. Unfortunately, GDP is complete BS.
The majority of the EU's spending is done by millionaires and billionaires. They cut all their taxes and gave them all the money and let them write the laws and they run the governments and they set the regulations and now they have one of the strongest economies in the world and almost no one benefits from it. The EU is flooded with cash that's being hoarded at the top.
(Great Britain didn't escape this. Its per capita GDP is lower than 12 European countries and and its GDP is increasing 1/4th as fast as its productivity. The workers work harder and the money disappears. The British are marks and they keep getting taken.)
A recession is how corporations steal money from labor through government subsidies and tax cuts. The cycle's 80 years old but no one seems to be able to implement a simple solution like TAX INCREASES to stop it ever since Thatcher took office.

The first question you should ask is: “Why is China able to compete with the United States?”
The answer is: “Because China can say no to the U.S.” Can Europe do that?

China is able to compete with the US because the US abandoned all of its diplomatic ties to engage in thuggery and threats, forcing its client states to withdraw and seek out independent economic relationships. This is leading to a projected 14 trillion dollar loss compared to last year for the US.
But what you also need to realize is that the EU's a larger economy than China. It's already more competitive with the US than China is. What China is not is HOARDING the wealth among its billionaires. So China ends up defying its fractional per capita GDP compared to the EU (1/4th the size as the EU in fact) in order to spend more of its money on quality of life.
If the EU treated billionaires and millionaires with the contempt and disrespect that China does, the EU would be far more competitive than China. It's all a matter of who you let decide how the money gets spent, not how much money you're spending

中国能和美国抗衡，是因为美国放弃了所有外交手段，改用恐吓威胁那套流氓做法，逼自己的附庸国疏远中国，而这些国家反而开始寻求独立的经济合作。这导致美国今年预计比去年损失14万亿美元。

Honestly European has zero chance individually, in competing against giants like the US and China.
Even the biggest economy in Europe Germany have a zero chance to stand between the two giants.
It is only through a United European Federation one entity, one set of rules that there is a chance for European to stand as a formidable giant between the other giants and play the game with its own rules.

But EU does not have a common link language when it comes to basic stuff like Administration, Judiciary, Higher education, Banking services, Income tax filing, etc.
USA has one (English), China has one (Standard Mandarin), India has one (English)

In the Netherlands we have ASML. No one produces high performance chips without Zeiss or Bosch.
Airbus, ABB and so on and so on.
