With brains being the new oil, the race is on. Can America still sell the dream, or will global talent now come with a made-in-China label?

The fee will not affect the the best of Indian IIT graduates etc .They will be exempted.Perhaps the Indian govt should charge a similar fee if america employs such talented people whose UG education has been subsidised by the Indian government.America will continue to poach on ISRO scientists freely.This is the type of brain drain we should prevent.

In today's world, countries which welcome skilled migrants without any barriers will only grow and develop in the future because cheap skilled migrants helps businesses reduce their labour costs which will in turn help in reducing the prices of their products and services. This will make things affordable for the people at all times. High labour costs will have to be recovered from the consumers by increasing the prices of products and services. Loudmouth politicians of the West don't seem to be understanding these things and are foolishly hating migrant workers who helps in the growth of a country. So if a country wishes to grow, then they must always welcome skilled migrants and never hate them. Western citizens need to upskill themselves in order to compete with skilled migrants of the world. They’re not brilliant minds. Seriously, I work in IT and most are robots that need every detail defined for them and even then the delivery quality is terrible . Sure some are smart but MOST definitely not.
