China has reportedly unveiled a new variant of its Dong Feng-26 intermediate-range ballistic missile, designated the DF-26D. The system is said to feature enhanced capabilities, including active radar seekers, multi-spectral sensors, advanced decoys, and hypersonic re-entry speeds exceeding Mach 10. Nicknamed the “Guam Killer”, the missile reportedly has an estimated range of over 5,000 km, potentially making it capable of striking U.S. bases in Guam and across the Second Island Chain.

The DF-26D is seen as part of Beiing’s broader military modernization. Experts believe the missile is tailored to threaten U.S. carriers, naval assets, and bases, further intensifying the ongoing arms race in the Pacific. In response, Washington is accelerating the rollout of new hypersonic weapons, enhanced Aegis interceptors, and the Pacific Deterrence Initiative (PDI) to bolster its regional posture amid rising tensions in the South China Sea, Taiwan Strait, and Western Pacific.

据报道，中国公布了东风26 中程弹道导弹的新型号，代号为东风26D。该导弹系统据称具备更强的作战能力，包括配备主动雷达导引头、多光谱传感器、先进诱饵装置，且再入速度超过 10 马赫。这款导弹素有 “关岛杀手” 之称，报道称其预估射程超过 5000 公里，这一射程使其有望打击美国位于关岛及整个第二岛链的军事基地。
