US President Donald Trump issued a proclamation implementing a travel ban on nationals from 12 countries, citing national security risks, according to the White House.

"The Proclamation fully restricts and limits the entry of nationals from 12 countries found to be deficient with regard to screening and vetting and determined to pose a very high risk to the United States," the White House said in a statement.

据白宫消息，美国总统唐纳德·特朗普以国家安全风险为由发布公告，对12个国家的公民实施旅行禁令。

白宫在一份声明中称：“该公告全面限制和管控被认定在审查与筛查方面存在缺陷、且被判定对美国构成极高风险的12个国家的公民入境。”

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson posted on X: "President Trump is fulfilling his promise to protect Americans from dangerous foreign actors that want to come to our country and cause us harm."

During his initial presidency, Trump introduced restrictions on travellers from seven predominantly Muslim countries, a policy that underwent several revisions before receiving Supreme Court approval in 2018, Reuters reported. However, his successor, Democratic President Joe Biden, abolished these restrictions in 2021, stating it was "a stain on our national conscience."

此外，特朗普还宣布对另外七个国家的公民实施部分限制入境措施，这七个国家是布隆迪、古巴、老挝、塞拉利昂、多哥、土库曼斯坦和委内瑞拉。

声明称，此举是为了保护美国的国家安全。根据声明，这项公告对美国合法永久居民、现有签证持有人、某些签证类别以及入境符合美国国家利益的个人给予例外规定。
