Japan is ageing rapidly and it increasingly needs what India has - a young, skilled workforce. Under the India-Japan Human Resource Exchange Action Plan, more than 5 lakh personnel exchanges are planned over five years, including 50,000 skilled Indian personnel and potential talent. And Japan’s demand is surprisingly diverse- from truck drivers and caregivers to railway workers, building management, hospitality and other skilled roles. But this story is bigger than jobs. Japan is also looking to invest ₹60,000 crore in India over the next decade.
