You missed the point. These Japanese business were uncompetitive due to mismanagement. China injected new management and capital that turned these business around. It is a win-win business deal. Millions of Japanese jobs were saved from liquidation. Families in Japan no longer face an uncertain financial future. Billions of taxes generated from the change in ownerships helped maintain social programs in Japan’s aging demographic.
Finally, not all business acquisitions turn profitable. For examples: Ford bought Jaguar, Landrover, and Aston Martin — all became black holes that sucked billions cash from Ford. Tata of India bought Jaguar and Landrover from Ford; Tata is losing money as these two brands fail to generate positive revenue. GM acquired Maserati; it jettisoned the brand for the same reason. Stellantis bought Chrysler, but soon realize only the truck division generated profit— the passenger division dragged down the company.
It is too early to tell whether China acquisition of these Japanese brands were good business decisions.

另外，企业收购不一定都能盈利。举几个例子：福特当年收购捷豹、路虎、阿斯顿马丁，这几个品牌全都成了无底洞，消耗了福特数十亿美元资金。印度塔塔集团从福特手中买下捷豹路虎后一直亏损，两大品牌始终无法实现盈利。通用汽车也曾收购玛莎拉蒂，最后也是因为亏损将该品牌剥离。斯泰兰蒂斯收购克莱斯勒后很快发现，只有卡车业务能赚钱，乘用车业务一直在拖累整个集团。

现在判断中国收购这些日本品牌是不是明智的商业选择，还为时过早。

History repeats itself. It's China time now. When the US cannot beat China fairly, uses lowlife tactics such as sanction, tariff and gotten Canada to detain Huawei CFO illegally (tried to use the same tactic as how the US destroyed French's Alstom). The US just wants to contain China progress by all means which includes spreading lies, disinformation, false accusations, implementing sanction and ganging other countries to suppress China progress etc. The US has lost their dignity in front of the world to see. For example Kubota engines the piston, cylinders, connecting rods, cylinder head, engine blocks and bolts and nuts are made overseas. For example the engine pistons are made in Malaysia. In almost all parts whether for electronics or household appliances are made overseas. The made products are assembled in Japan. The quality of each product is monitored and tested to meet Japanese standards. Everything is considered to be made in Japan

It is just how capitalism and the stock market works. Once a company goes public it is no more owned by a single person or country although it might retain its name or even run by the founder or country men or the countries work culture. That is true of Chinese companies too. For example Buffet owns a big % of BYD Chinese NEV company until lately. Alibaba was founded by Ma Yun but basically he owns very little of Alibaba after stock market listing. In fact Japanese and American investors owned a majority of its shares.
