China has slammed naval drills involving India and Philippines in the South China Sea. China accused the Philippines of co-opting other nations, for what it considers exercises that disrupt and undermine regional peace and stability. Beiing added that it stands ready to defend its sovereignty and that its military is carrying out routine patrols in the South China Sea. Buena Bernal reports.

@AlfredYHV how was china gonna colonize any country when they were always at war with themselves? Do remember that before the Mongols took over China, they always lost to Southeast Asians or what they called the 'jungle asians'. The only reason they were able to expand beyond their original ancient chinese borders is because of the Mongolian empire. And even then they also lost to Japan together with Russia not once but twice.
And in ww2, they would've lost that if it wasn't for US and allies coming to their aid who donated weapons, oil, food non-stop to help them defend against Japan just like Ukraine is today.

I'm Filipino and I actually agree. In our case, even Japan is far, incredibly far more reliable than the US. They help their allies with no strings attached and not just treat their "allies" like a businesses. The only reliable sector in The US government is their military since our military officers have fostered great relationship with the US military after WWII and after decades of bilateral military exercises. Not to mention our Mutual Defense Treaty. But then again, they answer to the US president which are more often than not disappointing and unpredictable like Obama and Trump.
