NEW DELHI: A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan's Churu district on Wednesday, according to defence sources.

The jet crashed in Ratangarh town of the district following which police teams were sent to the spot to assess the situation and carry out search and rescue operations, news agency ANI reported.

"Human remains were found near the crash site," SHO Kamlesh added, indicating possible fatalities. However, official confirmation from the IAF regarding casualties is awaited.

This is the second crash involving a Jaguar aircraft this year. In April, another IAF Jaguar went down during a routine training mission near the Jamnagar Air Force Station in Gujarat.

That aircraft crashed into an open field near Suvarda village, roughly 12 kilometres from Jamnagar city.

At the time, officials said that one of the two pilots managed to eject safely, while the other was found dead by local villagers

当时那架战斗机坠入了苏瓦尔达村附近的一片空地，距离贾姆讷格尔市约12公里。

相关官员称，当时两名飞行员中，一人成功弹射逃生，另一人被当地村民发现时已死亡。

Pilot is reported DEAD. This would be the 7th Jet we have lost in the last 2 months. In Operation Sindoor , the Air marshall mentioned Pilots are safe but according to other reports some were injured. Media has not reported on the nature of their injuries.

These chrashes are due to low quality indigenous lubes oil used by Air force .. until they change their lubricants they want be able to resolve this crashing aircraft issues
