Trump should ask Netanyahu to send Israeli troops for the ground attack; see how fast he backs off. While the US troops fight for the USD and their paychecks, the US gov can't beat the Iranian psychology/ideals of fighting for a person: either someone in their leadership who is living or died. This situation is the reason why the West was losing the war against Japan in WW2 in the beggining. The situation is not exactly the same, as in WW2, the US had the Soviet Union as their ally against Germany and Japan. The US doesn't have even Europe supporting them this time.
