NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed the new GST reforms scheduled to rolled out on September 22.

In his address to the nation, the prime minister congratulated the nation on the "GST Bachat Utsav", claiming that the country is taking an important step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Over his more than ten years in office, PM Modi has often addressed the nation to announce major decisions, from demonetisation to military operations. These speeches have served to inform citizens, explain government initiatives, and highlight major national milestones.

印度总理纳伦德拉・莫迪对定于 9 月 22 日实施的新 GST 改革表示赞赏。

在全国讲话中，总理就 “GST 节约庆典”向全国表示祝贺，称该国正朝着 “自力更生的印度”迈出重要一步。

Nothing new...just doing Bihar election campaign in the name of address to the Nation! He was CM of Gujarat for 13 years before becoming PM and he needed an article in a foreign publication to understand the problem but yet when UPA itself proposed GST (under FM Pranab Mukherjee), Modiji as CM opposed! He will not tell that! Also he had no intention to introduce GST in 2014! He will also not tell that opposition parties & many other notable people had told in 2017 itself to not have so many rates! But now he is claiming all credit while at the same time telling that States were also part of the decision! why is he not addressing the people jointly with the CMs? Anyway, good that the GST rates have been rationalized and There is no problem for Indians to buy Indian made goods which largely people have been doing for decades. Businesses also need to step up the quality of goods and avoid malpractices.

就是借着全国讲话的名义搞比哈尔邦选举宣传！他当总理前在古吉拉特邦当了13年首席部长，居然要靠外国刊物上的文章才明白问题。而且当初国大党领导的团结进步联盟政府自己（在财政部长普拉纳布·慕克吉任内）提出消费税（GST）时，他作为首席部长还反对过！这事儿他才不会说！2014年他也根本没打算推行消费税！2017年反对党和很多知名人士就说过别搞这么多税率档次，这事儿他也不会提！现在倒好，功劳全往自己身上揽，还说各邦也参与了决策！那他为啥不和各邦首席部长一起给民众讲话？不管怎么说，消费税税率合理化是好事。印度人买国货本来就没障碍，几十年来大家基本都这么做。企业也得提高产品质量，别搞猫腻。
