there are some that hold the views that autocratic regimes places a lot of important on military drills & marches like this. but I viewed not just discipline but also a sense of intense pride. during my scouting days, our troops marching is also much better than what the US armed forces was displaying. no wonder they did not win the korean war, the vietnam war & the afghan war despite overwhelming fire power.
