India and the Philippines have upgraded ties to a strategic partnership and sealed a raft of defence deals, as they mark 75 years of diplomatic relations. Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr was welcomed in New Delhi by the Indian prime minister. Narendra Modi referred to the two nations as "friends by choice, partners by destiny". This will be interesting. India has been looking at bridging and renewing the FTA made with ASEAN and the coming presidency falls to PH. This means PM must have in his agenda an extensive conversation about renewing the FTA in order to make a balanced trade that is periodically reviewed by both sides and that can be facilitated with PH, what is going to be interesting is to see what other ASEAN nations also want in this and if there is a desire to renew it. PM's address to the press mentioned ASEAN so it must be well within the agenda. If ASEAN is able to renew the FTA then great otherwise India would have to drop the FTA and individually reach out to countries and rebuild on the trades, which highly could defeat the purpose of ASEAN. Interesting to see what the next year brings.

Actually it's other way round Pakistan got beaten so many times by india 1947, 1967, 1971: 90000 pakistan soldiers surrender which is biggest surrender after the world wars. And 1984, 1999. I never heard or read that pakistan beat india in any major war.
