The USA needs VN maybe more than VN needs the USA. The biggest market in the future of this area is China, not the US. It would be stupid to align with a declining power instead of the rising one.//
Vietnam depends on China for its water supply. "Rice Baskets" of the Mekong River in the South & the Red River in Vietnam North <= Both start in China before emptying into South China Sea after flowing through Vietnam bringing water & nutrients ( Fruit plantations, Farm animals, etc. )
Vietnam's export manufacturers rely on supply-chains from China. In other words, made in Vietnam products originate mostly from China with cheaper Vietnamese labor

Last time I checked, India trade accounts for 2% of global trade. It is smaller than most ASEAN countries! You talk a lot but nothing you said matter. That is the problem with India.
