Alrighty everyone - here’s the deal. Not quite fair of me to leave you all wondering where I just disappeared to, right? You’d be correct to guess that. Well, I haven’t really gone anywhere (physically at least… thanks COVID!) I’ve just been really busy with work, school & classes (19 credits is no fun!) and finishing up flight training. I am on the cusp of being a commercial pilot, but here I am in quarantine as I have been identified as a close contact. No fun!

Having gone through security at Mumbai,why is it necessary to go through it again in Beiing? All you're doing is connecting to another int'l flight. Do all flights going outside India leave at pre-dawn hours,no daylight departures? Were you able to select your seat online at time of booking? Next time,business class!

2 meals on a 5.5 hour flight? Wow, I've never thought that there's that much food on a 5.5 hour flight. However, the food doesn't look very tasty

5.5小时的飞行时间，你们吃了两顿饭？

哇，我从没想过5.5小时的飞行可以吃这么多。不过，食物看起来不太好吃

Yeah, the meals very satisfactory. Nothing amazing. Certainly a lot though! For what it’s worth when I flew Jet Airways in 2010 between Mumbai and Hong Kong, there was a sandwich right after take off and breakfast just before landing, also a 5.5 hour flight. The return however, 6.5 hours long and just the one meal (same as Air China on Beining - India routes)
