India spotted a flying object hovering over strategic island chains in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands last year. The object was similar to a giant Chinese "spy balloon" downed by the U.S. earlier this month. The Indian defence establishment is now "revisiting the incident" to figure out if the object spotted in 2022 similarities to China's "spy balloon" detected in the U.S. Bloomberg reported that New Delhi is now working on protocols for dealing with such threats in the future and improving its ability to respond more swiftly
