Bengal lost, pressure on BJP to retain Uttar Pradesh
NEW DELHI: BJP registered a significant success in retaining office in Assam, demonstrating that its win in the state with a sizeable population of Mus ms was not a one-off, bagged a couple of seats in Tamil Nadu, consolidated its steadily increasing ve share in Ker and ended on the wng side in Puducherry. Yet, the trophy that it seemed to covet the most—a win in Bengal—eluded it.
BJP, which managed just 10% ves and three seats five years ago in Bengal, was hopeful of pulling off a repeat of the upset it achieved in Tripura. The ’s performance in the Lok Sabha polls, when it won 18 of the 42 seats, had whetted its appetite and led it to believe that a victory over Mta Banerjee was a realistic objective.
With a campaign which sought to tap into resentment over Banerjee’s appeasement, and co ption and excesses by local Trinamool functionaries, besides seeking to target specific caste groups and women, BJP thought it was on the track. The response to PM Narendra Modi from the throngs he drew only boosted the confidence. Only that the outcome on Sunday panned out differently.
BJP functionaries are looking at the possibility whether outreach to certain sections did not go as planned even as solid turnout of Trinamool vers, including Mus ms, helped Banerjee’s cause. It is also being felt that the campaign was let down by weak organisation.
They will lose UP this time and If Congress Nominate some1 out of Gandhi Family as PM candidate then BJP will be out of centre Too.
Why are you afraid , if you have done good work people will automatically ve for you. Otherwise get lost.
I don't see how the BJP can retain UP when they have such a clueless bully as the CM. They had the chance to appoint someone with better governance skills and forward looking on the 21st century challenges but they have failed.
UP is different. They ve differently. Every state have its unique preference and hence one state shall not lead to other state prediction

No matter what they do they cant retain up now after what people of up witnessed during covid. Every single person no matter if he supports bjp he wants yogi to be changed as the people think now that he is incompetent.
It will be very tough task for BJP to take solid position in West Bengal and Southern states about which i already stated on a number of occasions. BJP should work out a strong strategies to strengthen its power from now on. otherwise, it will be difficult for it in next Loksabha ions. Big talk in Election rallies is no more valid now-a-days as people ignore such things.
Modi watch out varanasi… didi will attack you on your home turf now start preparing
Vers of UP are not fools like WB. They have already tasted, undergone the worst due to corrupt SP and BSP ruling and know what is the sufferance. Congress is totally obliterated from UP. Yogi is doing best and UP is transforming. BJP will retain UP comfortably.
