Chinese firm BOE is building advanced OLED displays in a bid to oust rival Samsung as the only supplier of Apple iPhone X screens

Chinese manufacturer BOE Technology Group is develo advanced organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, which it hopes will be used in Apple's top-tier smartphone range.

The company, based in Sichuan province, is the world’s top producer of large liquid crystal displays, or LCDs.

BOE currently supplies LCDs to Apple for its iPad and MacBook ranges.

目前，制造商京东方正在研发先进的有机发光二极管（OLED）显示屏，希望被用在苹果的高端智能机上。
