What is point of robots? We have so much resources, that we can waste them - while our planet is dying for over using of resources?
Like my father said when he lived, after watching destroyed forest: "This generation have so much to waste. And next generations do not have anything to survive."
(Translation of his words is bit... far from words he actually used. Well, literally he said something like "this generations have so much how to chew. And next generation won't have anything to chew.")

@Darknova591 Then why humankind spend year's resources in less than half year (=resources which take 1 year to be renowned, is spend in bit over 5 months)? I think you live in delusions, that all that corporate bullshit about "green technology" is something to do with reality. It does not. We spend more resources every year, and planet is dying more than ever.
Situation what I mentioned was when my father showed part of forest, where every tree was cut down, because some one wanted money. In our environment, it takes something like 100 years to forest grow back. My father grew his own potatoes, hunted most of meat and fished what he ate.
I am by the way my 40's, my father, if he would be alive, would be his late 60's.

​@fallenswan1670 listen old man if you want to hear your ideas of what humanity can do to upgrade and change without going back to the stone age or in the 90s and early 2000 if not then shut and take your doomer comments somewhere else cause at least countries like China has started on reforestation and going green unlike the US and its friends maybe you should start on that yourself or is it too late for that and you want to be a doomer.

@harlan3103 Killer robots sounds so good idea, nothing could go wrong. My brother is something what could be translated as "volunteer firefighters", since our region has no professional one. Although usually part of job is variety of other tasks, and very rarely actually firefighting. Tasks like hel injured people, or collecting body parts of people who died in crash with truck. I would not say it is dangerous job, if you have training for it - then you know how to make sure you and others stay safe. "Volunteers" get here payment for emergencies where they take part, and maybe some training exercises etc. But they have day jobs too, unlike "professional" firefighters (but they need carry emergency radio with them to the day jobs, and if alarm comes, they need leave the job place...etc).
I think much much better idea is use robots on jobs what humans cannot do at all, instead try to make them to replace humans. (They should not be modelled as humans, but what ever is most suitable for their tasks). Although, I admit, that humans been successful without robots all these times, so they are not really needed for anything.
If population is shrinking, it means that there is something fundamentally wrong in society, since it is not normal human behaviour to not want have children. That might be just, that people spend too much time with electric devices, instead of humans. And fix for that is not creating more such devices, but change culture and the problem.
But shrinking population also means that there is less needed work to do. Problem is, that capitalism want produce endlessly things, and amount of increase "work" to get more profit. Without capitalism and carelessness there would not be such overuse of resources.

杀人机器人听起来真是个好主意，肯定不会出任何岔子。我哥哥做的工作是“志愿消防员”，我们当地没有专业消防队。他们平时大多处理各种杂事，很少真正灭火，比如救助伤者、收集车祸遇难者遗体等。如果你接受过培训，这工作并不算危险，你知道如何保证自己和他人安全。这里的志愿者参与紧急任务会有报酬，也会参加训练，但他们还有本职工作，不像专职消防员。不过他们上班时必须随身携带应急对讲机，警报一响就得立刻离岗。

我认为更好的办法是，让机器人去做人类根本无法完成的工作，而不是用来取代人类。它们没必要仿成人形，设计成最适合任务的形态就行。而且说实话，人类没有机器人也一直活得好好的，其实并非真的离不开它们。

人口减少说明社会出了根本性问题，因为不愿生育违背人类正常天性。原因可能是人们花太多时间在电子设备上，缺少人际交流。解决办法不是造更多设备，而是改变社会文化。
而且人口减少也意味着需要的工作岗位会变少。问题在于，zb主义追求无限生产，不断制造“工作”来榨取更多利润。如果没有zb主义和粗放发展，就不会出现资源过度消耗的问题。
