Ive never understood our general sinophobia. As a german who used to work in China for over 10 years, I have to a wonder - What have the chinese ever done to us europeans that we have to hate them so much?
- Ban on huawei for unproven "national security reasons" so we can buy the same gear from U.S. competitors that cost us 120% more for argueably worse service and quality.
- Ban on chinese cars from polish military bases for the same unproven reasons, like what? I didnt know the chinese are selling transformers.
- Dutch government literally attempting an "venezuela heist" on the chinese company nexperia leading to OUR own automobile industry to stand still for a full week.
- France giving a 900 million Euro Huawei investment into a domestic factory, mind you - hiring european workers, such harsch conditions, that they simply pulled out.
Looking back, i have to ask myself why we are like this.
