Nah it's the world's fastest growing economy. I'm a British Indian, born and raised in Britain. Even I'm proud of the accomplishments of my ethnic homeland and the fact that Indian science and engineering companies are starting to dominate western markets and India has become the 4th richest country in the world by GDP. I do agree that Indians need to get over their behaviour of demeaning and subjugating each other and Indians need to stop looking down on other Indians based on social stratification, religion and skin colour. The quality of living in India looks pathetic in comparison to most Asian countries, let alone the developed world. The quality of governance is broken beyond repair. It depends to a large extent on the quality of governance also at state, city and village level, and since it's broken at all levels in most parts of the country, there's no light visible at the end of the tunnel.
