Russia does not even have an active carrier, it has a rusting scrapheap that never lived up to the hype. The Chinese have a copy of the Kuznetzov, and a true flat top but no experience in fleet carrier combat. Interestingly neither Russia or China operate nuclear powered carriers, only the US Navy and the French Navy do.

Does Russia have any working aircraft carriers? Kuznetsov is out of service, and will probably never return. I think Russia's aircraft carrier game is on par with Iceland. Or, actually, Iceland is basically an island serving as a carrier so Iceland is probably better.

Few of those listed Chinese aircraft can land on a carrier. Landing on a carrier requires more than a tail hook. The airplane has to have specific characteristics like robust landing gear and high AoA capability at slow flight. The J-15 is the only carrier capable aircraft they have. And it is a pathetic challenger to an F/A-18 E/F or F-35C, especially with its limited takeoff weight, due to the use of a skijump rather than a catapult.

BTW: if you are going to include a "mysterious" fourth carrier being built in china... then you need to also add the two other full carriers that the USA is currently building. Also, if you are going to include a non-full carrier in the list like the russian kuznetsov, then you also need to include the other 9 assault carriers that the USA has. Also Russia is about to scrap their only carrier, since it hasn't worked for a decade, is currently innoperable and cannot be repaired. Russia has NO aircraft carriers at the moment.

The thing about US carriers is that the fleet ships themselves are monsters. To get to a Carrier you have to get through all the support ships first. A carrier fleet can have dozens of aircraft in the air in minutes, and thousands of missiles launched. Carriers are also rumored to carry nuclear bombs/missiles on board but that info is highly protected

The Russians have one semi-functional carrier. The Chinese have two active carriers. The third can't properly launch aircraft. The fourth doesn't exst yet. And the two they have don't sail out of range of ground based runways, because they don't trust the crews and hardware to reliably recover aircraft. The French have the only non-American carrier with a catapult system. The Brits have two ski-jump carriers that not only carry a larger airwing than the Russian or Chinese carriers, but carry the far superior F-35B. The Indians have two carriers comparable to what the Chinese have.
