South Koreans are deeply irrational immoral fascist people fed with Japanese far-right propaganda outlets’ hate-mongering gaslighting news of China and built their petty self-esteem on the contempt on the Chinese people.

The same has been applied to other groups like the Hongkongers and the Taiwanese. The Japanese style bully always start with “uncivilised behavior” and “high criminality”. By gathering the negativities of a certain target group of people they feed their audience with hatred and contempt towards the bullying target group and teach them to enjoy the bullying atmosphere and the pleasure of witchhunting and slut-shaming.

And it enrages them and put them to panic when China actually surpasses them in economy and technology, that China actually outcompetes them in one and another field of industry, and start to live a decent life while they themselves live in hopeless stagnation and depression.

All the hysterical reaction and paranoid from these people comes from their failure of bullying China and becoming a loser.

It's a kind of a defense mechanism. The South Koreans know that tens of thousands of American soldiers everyday trample on South Korean soil and copulate with South Korean women. This disgrace is unbearable for them and therefore they have to have a target to hate and the Chinese become the victim.

For one, they don’t. They spend relatively little time thinking about China on a regular basis and spend WAY more cultural energy on Japan.

What negative attitudes they do hold toward China come from pretty standard Asian national rivalry stuff that’s been happening forever, also pretty standard de ocracy vs stuff which global, and the little matter of China supporting North Korea, their mortal enemy that has been kidnap their people for decades, has tried to conquer them, and threatens to attack them regularly.

It’s actually more remarkable how LITTLE most South Koreans dislike China given its support for North Korea.

They used to have a fairly amicable relationship in the early 2000s. But then Korea became a cultural centre for Asia and the Chinese got insecure about it. So, they started a campaign calling KPop stars gay and claiming all Korean culture is actually Chinese in origin (except the gay stuff) and they started using tourism as a weapon against Korea etc., and so throughout this time China became viewed more and more as an enemy by Korea. There’s more to it, but that’s the key issue. But I mean, to be fair, Japanese, Koreans and Chinese all look down on each other. All they can agree on is that the Philippines is the lowest… lol.

I can offer hundred answers where Korean kimchi is called as paochai by Chinese or overseas Chinese, which have been written in last a few months and be written with the intention and emotion disrespecting Korean people.

They can't disinguish what they can and what they shouldn't. They are complaining it that Americans and Europeans bother Chinese, but they casually say words which make neighboring nations get rage.

I don't mention they have quarreled with most neighboring countries.

My anti-Chinese looking answers are representation of most South Koreans, and I've offered the evidence today.

I have many theories about this.

It is true that SOME Chinese people don’t behave in the fanciest manner when traveling abroad. For example, spitting, being loud, poor hygiene, cutting in line etc.

In all honesty, I remember that Korean behavior was not good either in the past. Maybe 15+ years ago.

When Korean people look at Chinese people, it reminds them of themselves 10~30 years ago. Koreans like to be overly critical of Chinese people in order to not be associated with them. Japanese people do the same thing with Korean people, actually they look down on the whole Asian continent. In fact Chinese people born overseas + HK + Singapore + Taiwan, have the same opinion of Mainland Chinese people.
Korea has a long history with China. China is such a huge giant of an entity that is in our back yard. There is an element of fear that we could get invaded or absorbed by China. It’s a threat to our exstence.
China has a late start in economic development and while they’re catching up especially cities like Shanghai or Shenzhen, their living standard is still behind South Korea. So it’s kinda similar to #1. Koreans still hold the image of China being the poor country. So it’s kinda similar to how Americans view Mexco and Central America.
Finally, I think this is the most crucial aspect. Koreans are xenophobic people. It’s not because Chinese people did A or B that we don’t like them. We just don’t like them. Period. Because they are not Korean.

Finally, although there is a sense of looking down on China in general within Korea. When Koreans go abroad, they usually don’t have any problem mingling with Chinese people. I’ve experienced Chinese people abroad myself and we have similar temperament for the most part. Japanese are really similar to us in culture, too. But the temperament is different from Koreans. They are shy, timid and passive. You can never guess what they are truly thinking. Koreans and Chinese people usually are more proactive and they like to lead people. They will say what’s on their mind. If you find yourself in the right group, you can really have a blast with Koreans and Chinese people. They know how to party.

I had a conversation about this very topic recently with a Korean woman. We both live in China.

The primary reason for Korean people's contempt is mainland Chinese people's uncivilised behaviour. Korean behaviour is conservative and modest, and involves a high degree of restraint.

The majority of mainland Chinese people are loud and uncouth, push in front of others to enter doorways or be served first, shout instead of speaking (particularly in restaurants), litter and spit on the ground in public areas, allow their children to defecate everywhere (indoors or outdoors), and have undignified table manners (spitting food on the table and floor, and eating with their mouths open).

I have met numerous Koreans in China, and most of them exhibit the same distaste for mainland Chinese people.

最近我和一位韩国女性聊起了这个话题。我们都住在中国。

韩国人产生轻视的主要原因，是中国大陆人的不文明行为。韩国人的行为风格保守而谦逊，且自我约束程度很高。

大多数中国大陆人说话大声、举止粗鲁：进门时推搡他人、插队抢着办事；不用正常语气说话而是大喊大叫（尤其是在餐馆里）；在公共场所乱扔垃圾、随地吐痰；任由孩子随地大小便（不管室内室外）；餐桌礼仪也不文雅（把食物吐在桌上或地上，吃饭时张着嘴）。

我在中国遇到过很多韩国人，他们大多对中国大陆人抱有同样的反感。
