China-financed water supply project commissioned in Zambia

A China-financed project to improve the water supply and sanitation in Zambia was commissioned on July 29 in Lusaka, the country's capital. Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema and Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Du iaohui attended the commissioning ceremony, as well as other officials from the Zambian government and the Chinese embassy.

7月29日，中国资助的改善赞比亚供水和卫生设施的项目，在赞比亚首都卢萨卡启动。赞比亚总统哈坎德·希奇莱马、中国驻赞比亚大使杜晓晖、赞比亚政府和中国驻赞比亚使馆官员出席了竣工仪式。

Ambassador Du commended the Chinese firm and its partners for successfully completing the project, which will improve access to safe and clean drinking water for residents in the Zambian capital. He said the water supply capacity of the project will provide people in the capital with sufficient, healthy and clean water, as well as improve local employment.

杜大使赞扬中国公司及其合作伙伴成功完成该项目，该项目将帮助赞比亚首都居民获得安全清洁饮用水。他说，该项目的供水能力为首都人民提供充足、健康和清洁的水，并改善当地就业。
