KSRTC removes driver from duty for letting monkey take the wheel
BENGALURU: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus driver’s name has been struck off the roster after a video of him allowing a Gray langur (Hanuman langur) get behind the wheel went viral.
In the video that has been circulating on social media for the past few days, Prakash, from KSRTC’s Davanagere division, is seen driving with a langur sitting comfortably on the steering wheel. He even cheerfully allows the langur to take control of the wheel, while he changes gears.
The incident took place on October 1 in a KSRTC bus plying from Davanagere to Bharamasagara. “We have removed the driver from duty and have asked the divisional security inspector to conduct an inquiry. He won’t be assigned any further duty till probe is completed; he could even be suspended,” a KSRTC official said.
The monkey is better driver than the drivers ee see daily on Bangalore roads
He should be warned and punished with fine
There should be cameras on the driver cabin in every bus and trucks and public vehicles .. such nuisance should be immediately stopped ..

Suspension is not a punishment
No wonder Karnataka roads are having killer machine running on roads.
Ksrtc shld have given the warning..he has put his other hand on the wheel ...why so stern action..?? This is un necesary..pls dnt take un necesaary fuss abt everything
Why only inquiry and a probability of suspension? Why not immediate dismissal for irresponsible driving without concern for the passengers???
This is insane action..did any accidents happened because of this driver..validate that. He might be full control of bus while allowing langoor to drive. Did any passengers complained about it!
yes...it's wrong that he allowed the langur to sit on the wheel.......but if u people can see it he is steering the wheel with other hand .......apart form removing him from the job......we can see it in other way ......he is so perfect in his job that he is steering with only one hand.......
OK no one got hurt by this idiots action so why harsh punishment ?
If langurs could drive, why employ human drivers at an exorbitant cost, just offer peanuts to langurs & employ them as drivers
Is the life of passengers less important tthan the job to the driver???
the monkey must have driven better than the driver. they are more dedicated to their work. we must honour the monkey
both driver and langur have to be warned. wait for driverless bus
