I hate this word "Dalit". There is no caste or religion as such. It's just a political weapon only. I don't know about other states, but in Odisha we don't think twice before sharing the dng table with any SC or ST or even Muslim. May be, because our Jagannath culture teaches us that. There are many stories where the Lord had given importance to the untouchable. In one story, the lord himself had to go hungry because he followed the social rules and didn't allow goddess Laxmi to visit a devotee from an untouchable class.
