For five years India was the single largest weapons importer on the planet. In February 2026, that flipped. ₹1.39 lakh crore of this year's defence budget is now reserved for Indian companies only, and a whole generation of private players is lining up to take it.

If your defence exposure stops at HAL, BEL and Mazagon Dock, you have invested in the last cycle. The bigger one is happening in private markets, mostly in companies under 10 years old that most public-market investors have never heard of.

If we look at the Maslov’s heirarchy, 1 billion people didnt fully have access to the bottom most pillar. - Again something the elites will never understand. Anyone who has lived thru the last 30-40 years can see clearly. They dont need to go far to see the difference, they just need to look around them on what has changed.

I agree. I grew up in 80's and was there in India in 2011 and 2013 but saw some wealth but not overarching development. That has definitely shifted in since 2014. Is this all resolved? Absolutely not. India is still at the early stages but opportunities galore. Don't lose the momentum. I see the old timers are already itching to get back to power and unleash scams.

All I know that we have a government which is at least trying to fix the mess of eras pre and post independence before it. While there are inherent flaws and mishandling but we are least have a government which gives a shit about future of India. Criticism should not be deconstructive and be aimed at defaming out nation.

If you understand that every gov is same maybe then you can think ahead. Bjp congress both same product fooling citizens for votes and have negligible political will to implement structural reforms. They just want to be in power. Modi himself is pretty much a fascist instead of uniting india he keeps using religion to segregate us so foreign powers can act. Rahul is no better with his caste politics. The point I am making is better patriot to nation not to these political parties. I was bjp supporter, I was congress supporter. Now I hate both for their incompetence and short sighted vision. Sure there are some wins here and there by all governments but the underlying issue in indian political system, buerocracy, society needs to be reformed, not polarised for votes.
