Japan is quietly acquiring Indian companies one after another, yet India sees this as economic growth. But is this genuine development, or the begng of foreign control over India’s economy?

When India banned Chinese apps in 2020, Japan was secretly investing in Indian firms. Today, it has aggressively entered key sectors including finance, IT, logistics, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Its investment has surged elevenfold in recent years, with Japanese capital backing many well-known Indian platforms.

The 1998 economic collapse in Indonesia serves as a warning: overreliance on foreign capital can trigger currency crashes and social unrest during crises. Japan is pouring large sums into India precisely because of its long-term domestic deflation, aging population, and lack of viable investment opportunities.

2020年印度封禁中国应用时，日本却在悄悄入股印度公司，如今已大举进入金融、IT、物流、基建、制造等关键领域，投资额近年暴涨11倍，不少印度知名平台背后都有日本资本。

以1998年印尼经济崩溃警示，过度依赖外资会在危机时引发货币暴跌、社会动荡，而日本正是因为国内长期通缩、老龄化、缺乏投资机会，才将大量资金投向印度。

India’s young population, huge market, and rapid growth make it highly attractive to Japan. Coupled with geopolitical considerations, Japan has accelerated the shift of its industrial chains from China to India, further increasing its investment in the country.

Overall, while Japanese investment brings capital and technology, it also poses risks to economic security. India can only achieve sustainable development as a major power by improving its own infrastructure and manufacturing system and reducing external dependence.

印度年轻人口、庞大市场和高速增长对日本极具吸引力，加上地缘政治因素，日本加速将产业链从中国转向印度，进一步加大对印投资。

总体来看，日本投资虽带来资金与技术，但也存在经济安全风险。印度只有完善自身基建与制造体系，减少对外依赖，才能真正实现可持续的强国发展。

Such countries to boost their economy always look for another country which have younger population, lower wage workers to boost their local consumption.
