That money once went to US Treasury Notes, but no more since the Russian Sanction/Seizer Asset. Today, China surplus go thru their BRI and SCO programs. fyi, those 87 new ships are to replace exsting dirty fuel ship into retirement. China PRC has move to a cleaner World.

China can do so, in ONE REASON !!!! China keep the cost of manufacturing low and easy to access raw material. China first did it with PVC material in the 1980s, then ENERGY in the 1990s.

just look at the biggest most dominant economies the past 200 years. the qing dynasty made up over half the earths economy due to its massive trade surplus and output of goods. then the british with the industrial revolution then the us with its massive past manufacturing then japan for a while. so a deciding factor is manufacturing like how heart rate represents general health

In times to come, it is obvious that any global ship of bulk products will be one of those two methods. This is the MONEY talking, not some stupid politician who never passed Physics or Chemistry 101.
