Indians, including students, can now travel to China as Beiing announces plans to issue visas

China announced plans to resume visas to Indian students stranded at home due to COVID-19. Beiing will also issue visa for various other categories. In a tweet, Ji Rong, counsellor in Chinese Foreign Ministry, congratulated Indian students. Visas will be issued to newly-enrolled as well as those who want to pursue studies. Some students from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Russia, and other countries have returned to China. About 1,000 Indians have expressed a wish to return to complete their course. China in June allowed families of Indians working there to return.
