MUMBAI: A cashless economy is possible only when a country has high internet speeds and high cyber security. Though India is going through demonetisation, a major aim of which is to promote digital transactions, the country figures poorly in the global cyber stakes. The country is 96th in terms of download speed and 105th in terms of average bandwidth availability. It also has a record of poor internet security, which is progressively becoming worse.
While in download speed India is behind even Bangladesh and Nepal, it tops the world in terms of 'ransomware' attacks. These assaults target banks and establishments with sensitive, confidential information.
In terms of availability of bandwidth, Sri Lanka, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and several other countries are far ahead
when u have such high population with such uncompetitive mobile operator companies this is bound to happen....
96th place in internet speed in the world, villages dont even have internet connectivity and Feku want to make economy cashless, first he should think about digital infrastructure what a peculiar situation!
Very good, we should always remain where we are, Never even think of improve or developing.
Jai ho Modi tech savy PM's India behind Nepal and Bangladesh. Hope you will not blame somebody else for this.
Being a Bangladesh citizen I feel proud for my country.
30 months in power and they don''t know that they are near the bottom of the download speeds and near the top of cyber crime. Cashless - digital - just empty phrases with no substance.
PM wants Digital India ??? Trying to walk before sitting !!!
So India is behind Nepal and Bangladesh, but isn't India a superpower ? LMAO bigtime.

Everyday we hear about new satellites being put into orbit by INDIA,Why then is that the download speed being slow behind Bangladesh and other countries which has no capacity to sent in their own satellites.
please compare the number of users also then compare download speed
Show these numbers to our big mouth PM
This is Modari''s digital & cashless India.....
Necessity is the mother of inventions; if there is a demand then only internet speed will be better. Secondly, Indians have a natural tendency to steal, rob, cheat so it will take lot longer for India to develop.
