卫星导航：印度加入了精英俱乐部
In 1999, the US denied India information during the Kargil war, that's when India started work on its own Global Positioning System (GPS). On April 28, 2016 India joined the elite group of countries, including the US and Russia, with its own satellite navigation system. Here's a look at what having its own GPS means for the country
1999年，卡吉尔战争期间，美国拒绝给印度提供导航信息。正是那时候，印度开始搭建自己的全球定位系统（GPS）。
2016年4月28日，印度加入了有自己的卫星导航系统的精英国家之列，这些精英国家包括美国和俄罗斯。
让我们瞧一瞧有自己的GPS对国家意味着什么。
随着第7颗卫星的发射，印度国产GPS已经搭建完成。

India needs more map and allocation of street names. Without it GPS will be only a "more or less" arrangement and the last minutes travel will be blind mans search for the location. Indias street and house numbers need to be made scientific before any Navi system should work. This needs work.

Yes, all roads or streets must be marked with exact numbers, not fague house names or some others....thats a long way to go in india being a big nation, but it has to be started. But with this system you can find almost near location even in jungles!

India have capacity to put satellite into space and this was long overdue. Similarly our borders must be watched 24X7 so as to prevent terrorists illegally gaining entry into our territories.
