The pipeline supplying from Ras Tanura refinery near Hormuz to Western port on Red Sea was bombed by Houthis. Indian demand is high and not able to fulfill from western storage. Besides, Houthis have captured choke point Bab Al Mandab straits on Red Sea. All tanker ships are forced to go around Africa that will take more than 2 months and Saudi is not willing to risk due to high insurance.
Saudi has advised India to pickup spotbuy from refineries and ship to Ship transfer from Oman gulf using Indian ship carrier.
