China has unveiled the J-35AE stealth fighter jet as Beiing attempts to expand its defence exports and challenge American dominance in advanced fighter aircraft. Reports suggest Pakistan could become the first foreign buyer, with claims Islamabad may acquire up to 40 jets. The aircraft features stealth design, internal weapons bays, AESA radar and long-range strike capability, although most specifications remain based on Chinese claims. The report also examines how the J-35AE compares with the American F-35, China’s growing defence partnership with Pakistan, and India’s response through the AMCA programme, Rafale induction, upgraded Su-30 MKIs and the upcoming Tejas Mark-2 aircraft.
