In a big move, China's commerce ministry has asked its workers to ditch Microsoft Word and use homegrown WPS Format to read and modify documents.

中国商务部采取重大举措，要求工作人员停用微软Word，改用国产的WPS格式来阅读和修改文档。

中国商务部发布的第 61 号、62 号公告，不仅敲定了稀土物项出口的严管新规，更把沿用多年的 Word/PDF 附件，首次全部换成了国产 WPS 格式。

Open format could have been used in addition to generic formats like rtf or csv. Compatibility is still a thing. I don’t blame them though. Many people are tired of MS

其实除了RTF、CSV这类通用格式，还可以用开放格式。兼容性还是个绕不开的问题。不过我也不怪他们，很多人确实受够微软了。
