Maruti Suzuki's June sales up 36.3% at 1,44,981 units

NEW DELHI: The country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported a 36.3 per cent increase in total sales at 1,44,981 units in June as against 1,06,394 units in the year-ago month.

印度最大车厂玛鲁蒂铃木印度今天报告称，6月份的销量同比去年增加36.3%，达到144981台。

Sales of mini segment cars, including Alto and WagonR, witnessed a growth of 15.1 per cent at 29,381 units from 25,524 units in June 2017, MSI said.

奥拓和WagonR等微型车的销量增加了15.1%，从2017年6月的25524台增加到29381台。

Every year car sales goes up and tax paying citizens goes down. I do not know how people are financing these vehicles. Anyways city roads are already clogged. The automakers should attach wings on them to enable them to fly. Else it does not feel great to drive a car these days.

It is surprising and intriguing that Suzuki is leading auto maker in India since late 80s or early 90s. Suzuki is not a challenger in many top countries unlike Japanese Auto makers Honda, Toyota or Hyundai of Korea. Suzuki focused on Indian Psyche - mileage , maintenance, price and resale Value rather than fancy, powerful, high end, costly and safety .
