CWG 2018: India women win gold in table tennis team event

英联邦运动会兵乓球，印度女团夺冠

NEW DELHI: Indian women's table tennis team scripted history by clinching the first ever gold medal at the Commonwealth Games with a 3-1 victory over Singapore in the final on Sunday. This was the second time the women's team reached a CWG final, having made its maiden appearance in the 2010 edition in Delhi.

Manika Batra recorded a hard-fought 11-8, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7 victory over World No. 4 Tianwei Feng to hand India 1-0 lead. Singapore drew level after Mengyu Yu got the better of Madhurika Patkar in straight games 13-11, 11-2, 11-6.

赛会四届冠军得主新加坡队爆冷被印度队击败，印度球员马妮卡巴特拉首盘单打3-2力克世界排名第4的新加坡老一姐冯天薇，从而一开始取得1比0的大比分领先。

英联邦运动会每四年举办一届，乒乓球项目从2002年曼切斯特英联邦运动会开始被列为正式比赛项目。新加坡女乒因为拥有井浚泓、李佳薇、冯天薇等前队球员，在这个赛事中可谓一直是超级霸主。女单比赛，张雪玲在2006年夺冠，2010年和2014年女单冠军都是冯天薇。2002年的赛会女双冠军，是李佳薇/井浚泓，2006年女双冠军是李佳薇/张雪玲，2010年女双冠军是李佳薇/孙蓓蓓，上届的女双冠军是冯天薇/于梦雨。

从2002年到2014年，新加坡女乒包揽了赛会四届比赛的女团冠军。其中冯天薇、于梦雨从2010年起就是新加坡队的赛会女团冠军成员。冯天薇为了带领该队实现英联邦运动会的女团卫冕，放弃了在横滨举行的2018年第31届亚洲杯。

印度女乒这次能掀翻统治赛会长达近16年的超级霸主新加坡队，一姐巴特拉独得2分功不可没。
