NEW DELHI: As the tempo builds up on the NSG question, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Russian President Vladimir Putin in a phone call on Saturday. Russia has been supportive of India's global ambitions from the UN Security Council to the nuclear deal, though Modi's diplomatic focus has so far been on the US.
According to a Kremlin statement, the phone call on Saturday was at Modi's behest. "The leaders confirmed their intention to continue comprehensive deepening of bilateral relations, which have the character of a very privileged strategic partnership," it said.
Modi and Putin are also scheduled to meet soon. "The discussion focused on practical issues of the two countries' cooperation, including preparations for the top-level contacts to be held shortly," the statement added.
The best way to deal with China is recognise Taiwan as sovereign country or at least let Chinese know we have other tools to make them understand.
India already has access to US Nuclear technology. Just stop giving China any development projects. China eventually will come around.
I am ready to pay money for Indian products if Chinese goods are completely banned in ''india.
INDIA CAN BE THE PEACE MAKER BETWEEN USA AND RUSSIA..
As was in 1962, this time again corrupt industrialists want a war between India and China in their vested interests.
kick out china from NSG
if china stop India bid to NSG then every citizen who really care for India must stop using Chinese product on import

Why is India acting like a beggar? Modi should be polite, and dignified while trying for NSG. It seems he is now insulting India by going door to door.
good move...need to get NSG membership without fail...hope Modi ji can do this for India
