It’s already the top destination and will continue to be for the next decade ,for the very reason that not many ppl have actually visited China. First it’s the safest place you can visit. Second there are so many options from first tier cities , historical site , scenic destinations, village, trade opportunities, technological cities, food cities etc. Third its digital ecosystem is very easy to use and efficient. Then its public transportation system is world class and high connectivity allows you to move around easily and cheaply. The deep culture and history together with the cuisine is just incredible. Lastly everything is super affordable when compared with the West. Ofc you can also buy drones, cameras, mobiles , clothes, Chinese art , footwear, etc. a shop bonanza.

I agree that vegetarian-specific restaurants will be limited in China, but actual vegetarian food should be easy to come by. Anywhere in China you should be able to order a number of pure vegetable dishes, a tofu dish of some sort that has no meat in it, plus a local rice or noodles type dish that has no meat in it.
