It follows China's decision to restart the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and ongoing discussions to resume direct flights. The move comes after high-level diplomatic contacts, including visits by India's External Affairs and Defence Ministers to China. During these talks, India conveyed that for disengagement to be completed, 'it is very important to maintain the peace and tranquility on the borders.' This decision offers relief to travellers, including students and business people, who previously had to use third-country routes to travel between the nations

India's embassy in Beiing has announced that it will resume issuing tourist VISAs after a gap of 5 years. Tourism from China had been banned in 2020, first due to the pandemic, and later due to border clashes. Why is India welcoming Chinese tourists now? Is New Delhi rushing the reset even as China chokes Indian supply chains?

@krishna_Bharath I am either from India or China. The question is not for India to question whether China can be trusted but rather whether China can trust India or not. If India cannot gain the trust of China then i think China won’t sell any rare earth or tunnel boring machine to China. In fact China won’t transfer any cutting edge technology to India or even cooperate with India. Let’s get this straight, India needs China and China doesn’t need India. China is the Daddy and India is the child, China is the boss and master and India is the beggar. It is not to India interest to provoke China. India needs to be humble to China and not to show arrogance to China. The earlier India understand these, the better for India.

You should be always be cautious in geopolitics but this is Indian gratitude for the Chinese opening up pilgrimage to Kailasa Mansarovar. The entire world should watch to understand how 2 Asian figureheads engage in diplomacy. There are systems, protocols and decorum in place even between conflicting parties.
