What a pathetic set of figures - $2700 per capita is a lower income bracket. 25-35% of people earn less than $4 per day , world bank poverty level wages. India faces this gigantic problem of 300-400 million, unskilled people earning extremely low income unable to even spend to skill themselves to higher paying jobs. Ten years ago India was 15 years behind China, now it is 20 years behind. That shows India is falling behind and not catching up. The per capita income and per capita energy consumption in India are pathetic - way below world averages. No chance of India achieving any near term or long term milestones.
