It seems the American Dream is begng to flicker for Indian Americans. A new survey has revealed something striking. It says, nearly 40% of Indian Americans are considering leaving the United States. Some are upset with the political climate; others are worried about their personal safety.

@sholmes_ttyy can't complain for people leaving and dreaming of a good life in western countries. But we should understand the reason for most of them not returning. It is not just money. It is much more than that. Freedom from societal norms, good hiegine, education for kids etc and lot more.

我们没必要指责那些远赴海外、向往西式生活的人。要明白，大多数人不愿回国，不只是为了钱。背后还有更多原因，比如摆脱社会陋习束缚、整洁的生活环境、优质的子女教育等等。

@sholmes_ttyy yeah that's true you are right many came it guys got jobs in companies but MBA guys went to Chennai BLR hyd etc.. , some went to uae aswell . The better life means in the sense my neighbour who just returned use to live an apartment in uk exactly 10 lived there no privacy or anything he used tell like going to toilet felt like jail and some guys don't even flush and also he used to in some parts of London Christian pastors preach during that some muslim guys comes out some stores with knifes and the pastor runs for his life every day same thing at different places . This happened in the case of uk , australia, europe and Canada guys especially because they returned more from uk and Canada as australia was up then went down only well off guys goes there didn't heard of mallus from us as many went there are nurses which is huge in numbers there's no knowledge of them . Many study abroad agencies promote uk canada Australia europe in Kerala as usa is really expensive and now they focusing on Germany.

@sholmes_ttyy In America you have to work hard , You can get a beautiful life and raise your kids nicely.I was there many years ago .I saw people with small jobs, both husband and wife work for 10 years ,you can buy a house and live peacefully.

U should pray they should not come, if they come, u won't get job here in india anymore. 40% means atleast 3-4 lacs nri. So don't laugh. Not of 40%, if 10% also arrived back here, Job competition will break all records.

Most people who go there live in small apartment buildings with roommates half the size of what we live in India & after work there's really nothing to do other than stay home & everything is very expensive even for the white Americans. I don't think anybody is happy unless you're really rich

Chinese small businesses are doing well from hair pins, drones, and any thing that people can use is made. Farming is also good growing vegetables, fruits etc.

@r.m1447 First, its not that Indians are leaving on "such massive scale"(atleast compared to proportion of 1.4B population). That's just the right wing racis talking point in US, Europe or even Japan. Even though Japan has hardly any Indians and even lesser than Vietnamese. Indians do move to English speaking countries like UK, Canada, Australia or US. Most of these are skilled labor with atleast college degree. Hardly anybody will go Europe or US for cheap manual labor jobs.
Reality is even China has a big shortage of jobs while being the world's factory. So India will never have enough jobs locally. I do understand loud and stupid Indians not assimilating is extremely annoying. But the India hate that started with US, and spreading everywhere is stupid. Just change your govt's policies, don't blame people already there. Most are productive people with highest earning group in US being Indians.

My friend went to the USA, to live with her son in New Jersey, after her husband passed away. Now after nearly 5 years she is coming back to India for good. This is due to the new policy of medical insurance. Her son got a very good job but still the increase of insurance is too much. With the spouse pension she will have a good life in India.
50% Indian don't go to the USA. Those who still have fascination to go, will find out the reality after landing.
Don't try to fool people who lived abroad for many years. America is no way perfect especially in the current situation.
