You rarely encounter actual police officers in China. Most of the staff you see in black uniforms are in service-oriented roles created by local communities to provide employment for grassroots citizens. These individuals possess no law enforcement authority; their sole purpose is to provide assistance and support services to the local residents.

China’s Park Culture is quite unique and amazing, you should pay a visit to ChengDu ‘s People Park, where retirees are enjoying their free time in group dancing, Tai Chi exercising, Mahjong playing, singing, musical instrument playing, Chinese chess playing etc… Since the retirement ages for public servants are 50-55 for women and 60 for men, at least as for now, many of these retirees are relatively young, especially among women. These latter are the ones who would find public parks to exercise and to socialize.

Chinese society's trust level is close to 100%! You could leave everything everywhere and no one will touch it. And you can make friends in the park and won't be worried that you will be scammed. And yes, little kids and young girls can wonder in the street late at night and no one thinks that is dangerous. The other way, I saw a video showing a young girl around 16 years old and riding a bike in a random street. She was busy watching Chinese version of TikTok and completely did not care what was happening around her. The vlogger said that was a demonstration of absolute safety because throughout her young life, she has NEVER experienced anything dangerous, so she never bothers to be watchful.

Actually, this is not the type of turtle commonly eaten in China. The turtles Chinese people eat are softshell turtles, which have soft shells and long snouts. Regular turtles, on the other hand, are generally kept as pets.

其实这种并不是中国人常吃的龟类。我们吃的是甲鱼，壳软、嘴长。普通的乌龟一般都是当作宠物养。
